New on the tips page will be a new feature called Fly Tiers Forum . This new section of our news letter will be open to any of our members for contribution. The topics will be broad to include any topic on fly tying, fly fishing, entomology, ect..Please keep any artical with in the guide lines of our mission statement. This is a great idea, that Mike Graziano has come up with.

September 13th- Linesville Clean Water Festival @ the Linesville Fish Hatchery from 9-3.

September 20th-Gem City Gun Club will be having their gun raffle.

September 20th- TU will be doing work on Lampson Run this day.

October 11th- PA Stelhead will be having a picnc @ Shades Beach, with lots of prizes.

Jim Sharpe will be selling window decals for you car to show everyone you are a proud member of GCOFT. Decals are $4.00 and can be purchased from Jim at any monthly meeting. We also have new hats with our new fly logo, and they are $14.00

If you have not been to the clubhouse recently, think about coming out when you can. There are always plenty of helpful people who can assist you with any fly-fishing or fly-tying questions. Also consider presenting a demonstation for the members. Basic through advanced demonstrations are welcomed.

 

AT THE CLUB HOUSE....................THURSDAY NIGHTS AT 7:00

September 11th- Elaine will be showing the group her varitations of the Wolley Bugger.

October 9th-Jim Pfendler will be giving a slide show of the Savage River in Maryland he fished.

November 13th-JT will be demonstraighting tying and fishing soft hackles.

December 6th- This is a Saturday night, which is our Christmas party.

 

FLY OF THE MONTH................

May-parachute dry fly.

June- None (pond outing)

July-Tie your favorite streamer pattern.

August-Tie a shrimp, crayfish or helgramite pattern.

September- Open tie night.

October-Streamer flies.

November-Tie a soft hackle along with JT.
